PRIVACY

I make sure my legs are closed under tables.
I make sure I don’t pick my nose at work.
I don’t fuck outdoors.

My phone calls are limited.
I don’t write letters, send emails, or look up porn.
I shred bank statements.

It can all be misconstrued,
Bought, sold, used,
Stored until pertinent.

I’m in focus,
Zoomed in and out, inspected.
I’m not even glamorous.

The atmospheric eyes,
The individuals’ eyes,
The state’s eyes.

Normalcy with time masks deeds.
Everyone joins in the fun of dismantling secrets.
Privacy is an archaic term.
